Weather Report – 3/29/19

Good Morning.
Clear skies and gusty NNE winds will be the days forecast. Cold air advection from an area of High pressure in the Great Basin will help to keep temperatures in the mountain communities on the cool side today. You may have noticed some low clouds on the Desert side of the Mountain this morning. These will dissipate as we begin to warm up during the daylight hours. Along the passes, Ridges, and in the canyons, expect gusty NE winds from 10-35mph today. This morning the strongest winds were, as always, at Paivika Ridge with gusty to 41mph from the NE as of 6am. Most of the rest of the weather stations around the area also have a NE flow with winds from 5-10 mph.

Temperatures will slowly warm through Monday as the winds die out. High pressure will build to our West and Low pressure will move back into the Great Basin bringing a return of an onshore flow by Monday pm. Tuesday, an inside slider will pass over the Las Vegas area. Locally we will again pick up gusty winds and a slight chance for a shower along with cooler temperatures.

That’s it for today. Thank you for joining me @ lakegregoryweather.com and a BIG thank you to all who have donated to this website.
Be sure to check out the website for live webcams from around the area along with live weather conditions and a view of Lake Gregory from my weather station at the South side of the lake.
Have a good Day! RC
