Weekly Fishing Report – 8/30/19

This week’s fishing report is sponsored by Lake Gregory Recreation

The Mountain Reporter Fishing Report covers Big Bear Lake, Green Valley Lake, Arrowbear Lake, Lake Silverwood and Lake Gregory with a weekly report covering baits, fishing spots and other tips you will need to know to give you the best advantage for your fishing trip.

Local Lake Reports

Big Bear Lake:

Trout bite has slowed down lately. Boat anglers have caught a few outside of dam. Slip bobbers with nightcrawlers dropped down 10ft has been working well. Not a lot of reports from shore anglers this week. But if your going to try your luck try in front of Red House or shoreline by dam. Early morning or early evening is your best bet.

Green Valley Lake:

Trout bite is still good. Green Valley Lake just received 1100lbs of rainbow trout from Jess Ranch hatchery on Thursday 8/29 just in time for the weekend. Both sides of dam and fisherman’s point have been the hot spots. Mini jigs, nightcrawlers and pink trout worms have been working well. Early morning or early evening is the best times to fish.

Arrowbear Lake:

No reports.

Lake Gregory:

No reports.

Silverwood Lake:

Striper are still on the chew. Cut baits and scented nightcrawlers have been working well off Marina dock in the early am.

Catch of the Week
