TODAY’S WEATHER DISCUSSION AND FORECAST:

Good Morning.
..Well, so much for the rain? I guess I blew that forecast. Anyway, a few sprinkles did fall in the Riverside and San Diego areas overnight according to the NWS, but nothing measurable.
..The remnants of Alvin are moving into Arizona then East from there this morning. Here, we will have mostly clear skies today with high clouds drifting through all day. The SoCal area will be sandwiched in between High pressure to our South East, and Low pressure off the Oregon and Washington Coast. So we’ll be in a zonal type flow for a few days. It doesn’t look like there will be much change in temperatures over the next few days as 500mb heights are pretty stable at 585-588dm through the next five days. We will see the general wind pattern become more westerly over the next few days with gusts from 5-10mph. The Marine layer will slowly return to the IE around Tuesday or Wednesday morning helping to keep a lid on temperatures locally.
..That’s it for now! Be sure to check on the Lake Gregory Weather Group, Facebook page, for any radar loops or storm updates as needed.
Thank you. RC @ www.lakegregoryweather.com

..As we head into Fire Season please use caution in all mountain areas. Also I will begin today posting the Fire Danger levels on the bottom of this page also check the wx alerts page for an in depth look at the local fire weather..(Website)

Yesterday’s High and Low temperatures were:
Crestline-77/61*, Twin Peaks-74/58*, Lk Arrowhead-74/62*, Running Springs-75/56*, Big Bear-77/59*, GVL-73/55*, San Berdo-98/65*, Wtrmn Cyn-87/55*.

..On the main page of the website, www.lakegregoryweather.com I have added two live webcam views, one of Lake Gregory pointing North, and the other facing Southeast toward Waterman canyon. These are very helpful for the drive up and down the hill. If the camera view is gray, that means it’s foggy.

..Be sure to check out the other pages on the website for the Latest on El Nino, live webcams from around the area, live Radar, Satellite loops, Traffic conditions, along with live Weather conditions, and a live view of Lake Gregory from my weather station at the South side of the lake. Have a good Day! *RC
