The Heisler Theater has officially opened their doors! For their first production, the Heisler Theater showcased “Moonlight and Magnolias,” directed by Ron Walsh and produced by Jeff Heisler!

The Mountain Reporter got to sit in and experience first-hand this spectacular play, located inside the beautiful Lake Arrowhead Resort. “Moonlight and Magnolias” is a comedy based on the making of the screenplay adaption of the legendary film “Gone With the Wind;” set in 1938 at Selznick Studios, inside the office of the famous Hollywood producer David O. Selznick. Audiences were captivated by Jeff Heisler, Gaye Gamble-Heisler, Brian Follis and David Heisler, who all exhibited a strong presence on stage, as well as the brilliant directing by critically acclaimed Ron Walsh. Jeff Heisler played exuberant and persistent David O. Selznick. Gaye Gamble-Heisler plays the amiable, hardworking, and loyal Ms. Poppenghul, secretary to David O. Selznick. Brian Follis plays Ben Hecht, the assertive and frustrated screen play writer; and David Heisler plays the amusing and frustrated director Victor Fleming.
