Weather Report – 4/30/19

Good Morning.
As we close out April, if you can believe that already, we will leave it behind with foggy skies and cool temperatures. Light winds will accompany the departing April, as yesterday’s system moves East.

Today there will be some clearing at the higher elevations as it looks now but the Marine layer is so thick that I don’t expect to see very much sun below the 5500′ level today. Drizzle or even a light shower can be expected along the Rim today and in the Valley. A long wave Trough in the upper level flow will help to reinforce the Marine layer through at least tomorrow morning locally. Then we will slowly clear out and slowly warm up through Saturday before we return to another chance for a couple days of wet weather, Sunday through Tuesday.

Yesterday’s weather brought light rainfall amounts to the area with Crestline receiving a total of .43″, Waterman canyon-.63″, Rim Forest-.21″ and Running Springs reported-.05″, San Bernardino -.23″. So even though this was not a big rainmaker, it was nice to settle down some of the pollen.

Have a great day and week ahead. That’s it for today. Thank you for joining me @ lakegregoryweather.com
