Weather Report – 3/28/19

Courtesy of LakeGregoryWeather.com

Good Morning.
There’s not to much going on with the weather for the next few days. This morning High clouds are streaming overhead from Point Conception to around Long Beach with areas of fog along parts of the Rim and the Coastal side of the local mountains and along the Grapevine. Other than that, it’s pretty clear out there.

Onshore flow will be in place for the next 24-48 hours as an area of Low pressure slides through the Great Basin to our North and Higher pressure sets up offshore of SoCal. Temperatures will remain about the same for today and Friday.

Saturday and Sunday we will change to an offshore flow as the pressure builds into the Great Basin behind the departing Low, creating an offshore pressure gradient across the area. Gusty winds will be likely for Saturday and Sunday morning. Temperatures will warm up over the weekend and should top out on Monday.

Tuesday and Wednesday a weak Trough will pass through top our North bringing a slight chance for sprinkles locally. Most of the rain will stay North of Ventura as it looks this morning.

On the long range Crystal Ball outlook, around the 5th of April and for the next week or so beyond that, there will be a chance for April showers and possibly a couple of cold systems that will make it to SoCal. FYI, don’t get in a hurry to plant those sensitive outdoor flowers and plants as you know, the weather can turn in a minute and ruin everything before Mothers Day. So don’t let those warm Summer like days fool you! RC
