Weather Report – 5/2/19

Courtesy of LakeGregoryWeather.com

Good Morning.
The early morning Fog has moved offshore as of 5am due to a weak offshore flow at the surface, and high cloud cover moving in from the West. Along with a building High pressure across the West. So clear skies will be the days forecast. Light and variable winds along with high wispy clouds will make for a nice day with daytime temperatures in the mid to upper 60s.

Tomorrow will be a repeat of today, as will Saturday. However, don’t get too used to the nice weather just yet.

A Cutoff Low is currently to our West and will begin to affect all of SoCal by Sunday afternoon. This will track pretty much the same as the last system earlier in the week. Showers, Gusty winds and a chance for Thunderstorms will begin late Sunday afternoon, lasting through Tuesday.

Behind the Cutoff Low will be another Trough that will keep the weather unsettled Tuesday and Wednesday, with another Trough Thursday and possibly into Friday.

So as it looks this morning, after the nice weekend weather, we will be in for a big change for most of if not all of next week. None of these system look particularly strong but if T-Storms do develop, heavy rain, hail, or even snow could be a possibility in some of the mountain areas next week. The models show a variety of systems, one from the Pacific, one as an inside slider, and another from the Pac-NW. So there will be a lot of variables next week in our local weather. As these systems get closer I will have daily updates as always. Also, on Facebook, Lake Gregory weather group, I post current local radar loop, and storm weather updates as needed. So be sure to check that for the latest local information on T-Storms and more.

Have a great day and week ahead. That’s it for today. Thank you for joining me @ lakegregoryweather.com
