Motorcycle Rider Transported to Hospital After Crash on 173

At 1:51 p.m. San Bernardino County Fire Units and the California Highway Patrol responded to reports of a motorcycle accident. The location given was on Highway 173 north of North Bay Road.

A male dirt bike rider, for reasons unknown, lost control of his dirt bike while riding and crashed. The rider was wearing a helmet.

Medical crews arrived and the chief complaint was pain in the leg. The man was treated at the scene for a possible broken ankle and transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center in Loma Linda.

Responding units included a California Highway Patrol unit from the Running Springs office as well as San Bernardino County Fire units, Medic Engine 94 and Medic Ambulance 94 from Lake Arrowhead.
