Saturday September 1st was the license free fishing day in California and Lake Gregory Regional Park hosted the VFW Auxiliary Annual Trout Derby. From 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, anglers from all over raced to catch 10 tagged trout. All funds raised during the trout derby go to local veterans, their families and the community. Robert Callis, our staff videographer, visited the derby that day.
