Good Morning.
This morning we have rain across the whole area. Totals have been mostly light with anywhere from a trace in Big bear to .20″ in Upper Waterman Canyon. Foggy conditions are along the Rim this morning as well as occasional gusty winds from the SW.
Today there will be a 60% chance for rain throughout the mountain area. There will also be a weak chance for a Thunderstorm as the closed Low moves across SoCal and heads East. Big Bear, and the Desert areas to our North and East, will see the best chances for Thunderstorms today. Early this morning, Lightning was showing up on the sat pics North of Point Conception and East from there as well as to our East over the Barstow and some of the upper Desert region.
All of this will move out by later tonight with clearing skies for tomorrow. The chances for rain will taper off after 5pm today with only a slight chance for overnight locally. Total rainfall estimates for the mountain regions will run from .20″ to .50″. Some areas may receive additional rainfall totals if a Thunderstorm does materialize. As always, be aware of your surroundings as a Thunderstorm can produce heavy rain and runoff in the local creeks and streams.
Tuesday we will see mostly clear skies with a warming trend beginning through the work week ahead. Temperatures will reach into the mid 60s by mid week before the next area of Low pressure arrives Saturday night.
