Jamboree Days kicked off in Top Town of Crestline on July 5th, at 5:00 pm. The community event was complete with a food truck, ice cream, and even a bounce house for the kids. Additional food options from local vendors, such as Fast Eddie’s and the Bear House Family Restaurant, were also available. Live music entertainment was provided by the local band Little Bear Valley Blues.
Local CHP blocked off sections of Crest Forest Drive to accommodate the event, allowing through traffic down the 138 and Lake Drive.
Jamboree Days continues into Saturday, July 6th, with a parade, live music, and fireworks. A complete schedule for Jamboree Days can be found here. Expect rolling road closures along Crest Forest Drive, Fern Drive, Lake Drive, and Lake Gregory Drive throughout the day beginning at 9 am. The Mountain Reporter would like to remind everyone to stay safe and have fun over the holiday weekend.
