Weather Report – 4/19/19

Good Morning. Coffee and Weather.

For tomorrow’s Lake Gregory Duck Derby, we will have temperatures around 55* with a West breeze around 5-8mph.

For Sunday’s Sunrise Service at Lake Gregory, temperatures will be running around 40-45* at 7am with Fog or low clouds likely.

For today Friday, temperatures will be about the same as yesterday’s or maybe a little cooler as an area of Low pressure moves Inland later today. South West winds will pick up later today as well due to the pressure change as the Low passes through. Fog and low clouds are along the Coast this morning and will push Inland tonight and for the next couple of mornings as a second weak Trough moves through the area Saturday and Sunday.

Morning Drizzle for Saturday and Sunday will be likely along the Rim and across the front range below the 4500-5500′ level both mornings. Some fog will filter into the local area Sunday morning especially at the lake levels for Arrowhead and Gregory during the morning hours. Local daytime high temperatures will be much cooler over the weekend.

Monday through Thursday of next week, High pressure will move over SoCal bringing back much warmer temperatures and clear skies to the region once again.
On the long range outlook, I don’t see anything as far as rain goes in the near future for our area. We will continue to have a progression of Highs and Lows as is typical for this time of year with Coastal Fog in the mornings pushing to the Valleys at times through the period. El Nino is still a factor in the weather and will continue to be for the next few months. The main impact of El Nino from here on out will be the Hurricane and Monsoon seasons ahead. Only time will tell what that may be? The Midwest has been having a busy Tornado season already. It’s interesting to watch the storms develop with all the technology available to all of us now via the internet. I have a few specialized programs so I can get specific data on these systems as they develop which has been interesting to watch and learn from. My hopes are to take in some of that weather next year and post it here as I go through those areas. We’ll see! Retirement goals. Have a good day and hopefully the Easter activities won’t be to impacted by our local weather changes. RC
