Weather Report – 4/16/19

Good Morning. WX ALERT
Clouds have moved into the area this morning along with Fog along the Rim and the front country. Expect foggy driving conditions and wet roads along the Rim and HWYs 18, 330, and 38 this morning. Currently the fog is below Waterman Canyon as of 6am.

A weak Front will pass through the area today bringing a chance for light showers and a few snow flurries to the higher elevations, above the 6500′ level today. This system is falling apart as it moves South, so only scattered showers can be expected today. It does look like late this afternoon around 4pm will be the best chance for a good shower, and maybe a clap of thunder, as the center of the circulation passes overhead. Rainfall totals will be under .30″ today for all areas.

Wednesday through Friday will have much warmer temperatures as High pressure and warmer air move into the SoCal region. Skies will be clear with variable winds. A Wind Advisory will remain in effect today through 9pm for gusty SW winds.

So it looks like the Daffodils have made it through without getting buried in snow. In Twin Peaks at Strawberry Lodge Rd and HWY 189, there are lots of Daffodils in bloom. Enjoy them but please don’t pick them.

That’s it for today. Thank you for joining me @ lakegregoryweather.com
