Weather Report – 4/1/19

Courtesy of LakeGregoryWeather.com

Good Morning.
Today we will see increasing high clouds across SoCal as we begin a change in the weather pattern across the West. Temperatures will be about the same as yesterday for most areas. The NE winds will begin to switch over to a SW flow by this afternoon as an area of Low pressure moves through the Inland portions of California.

For Tuesday, increasing clouds throughout the day will bring a slight chance for a shower to the area. As it looks this morning, most of not all of the rain will stay North of Ventura, but there is a slight chance for a shower locally so that’s why I mentioned that. Gusty SW winds will be the main weather feature for Tuesday night and Wednesday. Some local fog may develop along the Rim by Wednesday morning depending on how fast this weak system moves through.

Wednesday through Thursday morning, a Ridge of High pressure will move across SoCal. This will bring mostly clear skies to the area with continued gusty winds.

Late Thursday another weak Trough will pass through the area again bringing a slight chance for a shower to the local area. Overall, the possible rainfall amounts will be under .25″ through the period.

Friday another weak Ridge will push through the area followed by another Trough. This system looks a little stronger and may bring a better chance for showers Saturday. The freezing levels will remain above 7000′ through the period as the Troughs pass through. Saturday may have different dynamics so I will have more on that as we get closer to that time frame.

So in recap, we will have clouds on and off through the weekend with a couple chances for a shower. Gusty winds from the Sw will remain in the forecast as well. Temperatures will be cooler overall.
That’s it for today. Thank you for joining me @ lakegregoryweather.com and a BIG thank you to all who have donated to this website.
