For 21 years AAA has been providing a service called Tipsy Tow. All you have to do is call 1-800-400-4AAA . Callers simply tell Auto Club operators, “I need a Tipsy Tow,” to receive the free tow and ride home. A regular Auto Club-contracted roadside service truck will be dispatched. They will provide you and your vehicle a ride home up to 7 miles. Anything over 7 miles would be charged at regular tow rates. More than half of roadside fatalities are caused by drunk drivers. Twenty-eight people in the US die every day due to drunk driving accidents. Buzzed driving is drunk driving. Hangover driving is drunk driving. If you are drinking, secure alternative transportation before you head out on New Year’s Eve. If you are not drinking, remain vigilant about the actions of others if you go out driving.
