At 1:05 PM on April 19th, 2019, a three vehicle traffic collison occured on Highway 18 at Rim of The World Drive in Crest Park.
According to parties involved in a statements given at the scene, a Lexus was stopped at Rim of The World Drive waiting to turn when a white Volkswagon came up behind and stopped. A grey Tahoe then slammed into the the back of the VW, causing it to jolt forward and crash into the Lexus.
The driver of the VW did stated that he hit his head during the crash but declined medical treatment at the scene. There were no other injuries reported.
A CalFire unit was passing by and stopped at the scene to help direct traffic until county fire units arrived onscene.
The California highway Patrol was on scene getting statements and investigating the crash. Traffic was arrested and the roadway was closed for a short period while Mountain Auto recovered two vehicles and cleaned the scene.
