Close call for occupants of roll over accident on Highway 18

At 7:06 Pm on May 26th a solo vehicle lost control and over turned on Highway 18 in Baldwin Lake Mile marker 57. A Toyota sedan was traveling west when the driver lost control and flipped over. The driver stated to the first responder that ” as he lost control he put his work helmet on to protect his head when flipping”. Crews from station 283 Sugarloaf and 282 Big Bear City were on scene and transported one patient with minor injuries. Highway 18 was closed for a short period while the vehicle was towed by A Performance. California Highway Patrol is handling the investigation.
