“They Will Never Feel Forgotten”
Theo Stewart is a Blue Star Mom and long-time mountain resident who recently moved to Colorado. Her son, Jacob Stewart, just graduated boot camp and is serving in the Army National Guard.
Jacob was born and raised in Running Springs. He graduated from Rim High School in 2010 and enlisted in the National Guard in November 2018. Jacob is a Private and is currently stationed at Fort Eustis in Virginia where he is training to be a Helicopter Electrician.
As a “citizen soldier”, Jacob plans on being a helicopter electrician and eventually a helicopter pilot in both the National Guard and in the civilian world. That is the main reason he enlisted.
Theo says that it is quite an honor to be a Blue Star Mom. “I feel humbled when I think of all the Blue Star Moms out there who’ve sacrificed so much”. She loves that Jacob is getting top-notch training for a job that she believes he will be excellent at.
Theo hates that Jacob is separated from his wife and baby while in training and says that it has been difficult for all of them. “Jacob is becoming a man of honor, good character, and integrity because has given his life to Jesus Christ. He loves the Lord. For that, I am eternally grateful.”
