A recurring event on the Mountain, “Coffee with a Cop” is attended by all branches of law enforcement on the mountain. It’s a chance for citizens to interact with the officers, get questions answered, and meet officers on a more personal basis.
In attendance this morning at Hot Shots in Blue Jay, was the California Highway Patrol, San Bernardino County Sheriff, the California Highway Patrol Citizens Patrol and San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Citizen Patrol. All together, approximately 35 representatives from local law enforcement were in attendance.
Local local law enforcement agencies see this as a community outreach event and as a way to strengthen ties with the community. The next event is slated for sometime midsummer.
