Kdog’s Road Report 4/11/18

Uneventful ride DTH today. I saw that guy in the blue Subaru with the Oregon plates, and the bike on top, but, in a pleasant deviation from the usual, he didn’t drift out of his lane and deep into mine today. I thought that was sweet of him. Still… I can’t help but hope that ONE of these days, his lane- drift won’t take him INTO the three- beam. Wait, the threi- beim. No, wait, the Thrie- beem. Dang, it, the center guardrail thingies. Whatever they are called. Anyhow, that guy in the hippie Subaru shouldn’t be of any concern to those who follow today, as he seems to only be on Hwy 18 each morning between 5:00 AM and 5:04 AM…. yep, he seems to make short work of those 10 miles.
Weather is clear, roads have nothing interesting to offer. No rocks, no snow, no fog, no bears, no fuzz, no ice, no wrecks, no Fleetwood Mac. Wait, whaaaaaaat?!? Yep… Lindsey Buckingham has left the band. I actually thought he’d left long ago. I’m pretty sure that Fleetwood Mac is one of those bands where everybody bickers and fights and argues and they break up, and talk smack about each other, then resolve their creative differences, and have a final tour, and then a couple more, and then restart the cycle… and they do this two or three times per year. I think that’s them… or maybe I’m thinking of Van Halen, or Pink Floyd, or the Eagles, or somebody. Who knows. Whatever the case: Lindsey has gone his own way. Sorry… THAT didn’t mean to happen… it’s just that sometimes, I go insane.
And, through the miracle of SCT (Solar Control Technology), the sun is coming up a little earlier each morning now. It’s amazing how they do that… but, by the time you read this, at least shortly after 6:30 AM, there should be copious volumes of sunlight. I’m told by the weather prognosticators on the radio that we have a pretty intense wind event coming in within a day or two, so we have that to look forward to. Should bring a lot of rocks to the highway, and somehow, additional smokers who don’t carry ashtrays in their cars.

Seems like every day is a designated day of something or another. I have learned that today is “National Sibling Day.” Oh, brother.

Don’t drive angry, my friends!
