Family Walks Away Uninjured from Rollover Accident in Big Bear

At 6:18 p.m. on May 30th, multiple calls went into 911 dispatchers reporting a solo vehicle rollover on Baldwin Lake Road and Shay Road in Baldwin Lake, an unincorporated town at the East end of the Big Bear Valley.

A blue Toyota Yaris was traveling northbound on Baldwin Lake Road when for unknown reasons, the driver lost control. The vehicle then went up an embankment, overturned, and landed on its side.

The driver was traveling with two small children and his wife, none of which reported any injuries. San Bernardino Sheriff Deputies arrived on scene and requested they all be checked anyway. Medics from Station 283 in Sugarloaf and Medic Ambulance 282 from Big Bear City checked all patients who declined medical treatment at the scene.

A Performance Towing arrived on scene to recover the vehicle. The California Highway Patrol took over the scene and is conducting the accident investigation at this time.
