Emergency Crews Respond to Near Head on Collision in Big Bear City

At 7:14 p.m. on January 31st, a two vehicle traffic collsion occurred on the corner of Highway 38 and Division Drive in Big Bear City.

A Toyota Corolla was reportedly traveling westbound when the driver of a Silver 2500 Dodge Ram traveling eastbound alleged that the Toyota crossed over the double yellow lines and continued driving straight towards him. The Dodge driver stated that after he came to a complete stop and honked his horn a few times but the driver of the Corolla continued driving and collided with him.

Medics from Station 282 responded to the scene and the male driver and toddler in the Toyota were checked out at the scene. The father declined transport for himself and the toddler riding in the vehicle. The driver of the ram suffered no injuries. The exact cause of the crash is under investigation at this time.
