At 11:45 Am on March 23rd a Dodge Journey was traveling down bound 38 near Barton Flats when the driver slammed on her brakes to let an animal cross the road. A water bottle then went flying and lodged under her brake peddle she reached down to grab it and lost control then slammed into a tree. She was transported to Bear Valley Hospital with unknown injuries. Caltrans and another good Samaritan directed traffic until CHP arrived. A Performance Tow recovered the Vehicle.
