“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.” ~ Albert Einstein

Denise Medved created Ageless Grace, a program that integrates the benefits of movement in our spiritual life and realm. There is a place for every palate in her process, and finding our way amid the choices is a high act of self-love and self-care. Designating time to move and allow the energy of motion to feed cells and spirit contributes to a perennial grace.

Her premise that the inner journey can be part of the dance, the ride, is a refreshing perspective for those that have seen exercise as something to tolerate or engage in on the physical plane only. The spiritual aspect can be at the very core of the movement we choose, calling us deeply into the place of harmony and balance.

The balanced life is one that brings stillness and action. Both are invaluable. Our passion for our work, our play, our connection with loved ones and the ageless grace that we aspire to can best be found in the moments of moving and flowing. We are filled with the vibration that powers our life ventures

Take a look at the program. It is ageless. All of us, at any age, can thrive from the union of spirit and movement. Every step brings the opportunity to deeply commune with one’s heart and spirt. Once there, thought forms emerge, answers flicker across our intuitive mind, deep peace rises and discord falls.

For those that have motion limits, find your place in the model of motion. A chair affords the space to dance, arms moving to material music or the music of your own heart. Reach for the sky, arms flowing to the resonance of peace and gladness. Every time we move, our cells applaud our efforts.

The next time you experience your shadow self, the you that is contracted, isolated, apathetic, exhausted or distressed, just move… with music, without music, with form or formless.  Then watch feelings shift. Anger dissolves, sadness clears, despair lifts, and energy rises.

The union of our body with motion can be thrilling. This week I saw two videos of nonagenarians in earth ecstasy, moving, dancing and exuding a great joy as they became one with the flow of ballet. Imagine being ninety-something and being part of the ballet troupe, body-mind-spirit celebrating each move. The spirit of playfulness is a wellness boost to all aspects of our being. Mental, physical, emotional and spiritual elements join in the vibration of play and we become a mosaic of vibrancy, peacefulness, harmony, and balance. From taking small steps while doing dishes, to raising your arms to the heavens in a flash of gratitude, to pet play or a marathon, activity is a tonic of the highest order.

Our immune system asks for movement.  Our lymphatic system calls out from each marvelous cell, asking us to move…to walk, dance, swim, hike, or engage in the ancient practice of yoga to lift our vibration. Physical agility, brain power, mood enhancement are gifts given in these endeavors.

An inner harmony emerges when we move. Images, thought forms, the rise of peace and our spirit carries us to an infinite coherence. We meet our essence, our creative self, our wisdom and in that inner bliss we find full measure of the intuitive intelligence that guides our way.

Visualize three generations bicycling down a mountain road. A lineage of love… seeing the power and tender heart of nature in a ride of wellness. Your trip can be on foot, on a bike, in a gym, in the backwoods, or with a troupe of loved ones on a holiday or Sunday afternoon, beckoning the beautiful outdoors to hearts, bodies and souls. Bringing the balance that Einstein spoke of, creating a symmetry of our collective bodies, a kinship that serves us every moment. A ride of harmony.
