Good Morning. Lots of coffee..
Today we will start the day with Fog in the Valley and mostly clear skies above the 3000′ level, with light and variable winds, and comfortable temperatures. We should see some cooling today by 3-5* from yesterday’s daytime highs.

Later today, we will begin to see the effects of an area of Low pressure that is currently to our West over the Pacific Ocean. As this system moves closer to SoCal, we will have increasing upper level clouds, a deepening Marine layer, and gusty SW winds. There will be a small chance for rain shower and or a T-Storm beginning late this afternoon increasing overnight through Monday afternoon (500-900Jkg). This will be as the Low passes directly over SoCal. Rain showers will be possible through most of Monday, with accumulations of .25-.75″. The greatest amounts of rainfall will be in the areas affected by any Thunderstorms that may develop. As always, Hail and or heavy downpours, along with outflow wind gusts, will be a possibility in the areas where a T-Storm may develop. So be prepared for driving issues in those areas.
If you are outdoors during a T-Storm, take appropriate precautions. Go indoors, or seek shelter until the storm passes, and stay away from stream beds as flash flooding is always a possibility.

Monday we should have mostly cloudy skies with showers likely at times. Fog will also be a possibility along the Rim. Temperatures will cool down quite a bit for Monday then slowly begin to warm up for Tuesday through Friday as High pressure slowly builds along the West Coast.

Next weekend we could see another weak system pass through the area bringing another chance for showers.

Have a great day and week ahead. That’s it for today. Thank you for joining me @ lakegregoryweather.com
