Charger Challenges Challenger and Charges at it on Highway 38

A two vehicle traffic collision occurred at 1:10 pm on January 1st 2019 at mile marker 45 on highway 38.

A Dodge charger was traveling southbound and lost his steering, lost slammed on brakes and crossed into north bound traffic clipping a Dodge Challenger. The Challenger was sent into the ditch. The driver of the Challenger saw him coming and stepped on the gas to avoid the collision. His quick thinking prevented what would of have been a head on or T bone collision.

Neither party required medical attention. Big Bear Towing arrived on scene to recover the vehicle. The California Highway Patrol had an extended eta due to holiday traffic on the highway. Once they arrived, CHP blocked road for approximately 10 min while the vehicle was recovered. The vehicle was recovered around 3:30 pm. The exact cause of the crash is under investigation at this time.
