Barbara Kolander is the proprietor of Wild Mountain Services. She has been collecting, teaching community members and cooking wild native plants in the area for more than twenty years.

Even if you haven’t attended the class to learn how to identify some of our local wild plants, you can attend the wild plant cooking class coming up next Saturday August 24 to see how to prepare them into tasty meals!

Sign up for the cooking class and you’ll take a short nature walk to see what’s growing, then move to the kitchen to prepare and enjoy a wild feast!

The cost is $40 per person, children 12 and under are $20 each. RSVP’s are usually necessary for this event at least 2 weeks in advance!! However, Barbara the proprietor, stated potential participants for the upcoming class can message her to ask if any spots are still available. The maximum amount of attendees is limited to 12.

Wild Mountain Services conducts these cooking classes during Summer, Fall and Spring. Go to her Facebook page Wild Mountain Services to learn more, click on events to make reservations and see future events.
