Local Lake Reports
Big Bear Lake:
Trout bite has slowed down a little for shore anglers. A few reports of some being caught in front of Red House and by the dam. Power bait on Carolina rig with long leaders in the early a.m. is your best bet. Boat anglers have been doing well east of Red House in deeper water trolling lures or drifting slip bobbers.
Green Valley Lake:
Trout bite is still going off. GVL received a small stock including trophy trout on September 6th. Anglers have been doing well using power bait on Carolina rig and power worms. Both sides of dam, Fisherman’s point and north shore have been doing well. Early morning is your best bet.
Arrowbear Lake:

Lake Gregory:
Trout fishing has been decent following the recent stock of 1000 lbs. of rainbow trout on September 6th for last weekends VFW Auxiliary trout derby. The Derby was tough but anglers managed to catch some early morning back in baseball field cove and along the east shore. Mini jigs, power bait and nightcrawlers get the job done.
Silverwood Lake:
Reports of Striper and catfish still being caught off marina dock on cut bait and nightcrawlers. Early morning is your best time to fish.
