Forecast for Crestline, Twin Peaks, Lake Arrowhead and the San Bernardino Mountains.
Good Morning.
This morning we should see a brief period of weak NE winds across the area as a Trough passes to our North. South West flow will return by this afternoon or evening.
We will return to a mostly Zonal flow through Sunday with a slight warm up for Friday through Sunday, as a Subtropical Ridge will build to our South. Moisture from the Gulf of California, or Sea of Cortez, whichever you prefer, will move into the Desert areas today. We may pick up some clouds across the top of the mountain this afternoon as a result, but that is about it. Most of the moisture and or Thunderstorm activity will stay from the Colorado River, and East from there into Arizona and New Mexico.
Another Trough will begin to affect our area Monday with increasing SW winds and cooler temperatures for Monday through Wednesday of next week. At this time, there is no rain in the local forecast for the next five days. Big Bear had temperatures in the upper 20’s to low 30s this morning. I guess Fall is on the doorstep! Have a good day today, and enjoy the great Mountain weather. RC
