Forecast for Crestline, Twin Peaks, Lake Arrowhead and the San Bernardino Mountains.
Good Morning.
Today will be another nice day across the area. Temperatures will be about the same as yesterday with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s in some of the warmer areas. There will be a chance for an afternoon Thunderstorm mostly to our East as monsoonal moisture is drawn into the Desert slopes of the San Bernardino mountains. As always, there will be a chance for a storm to drift toward Big Bear and possibly to the back of Lake Arrowhead. However, the Deep Creek Divide will most likely shun everything to the North and East of the local area. But there is a chance so that’s why I have posted it here. This will be the weather trend for today and Tuesday. Wednesday the monsoonal flow will move East along with the high moisture levels. Humidity levels will return to more normal levels and should be in the 20-35% range for the rest of the week ahead in the mountains. Coastal fog and low clouds will try to push into the IE mid week so we may see a slight cooling trend for that time frame. SW to West winds will increase across the areas during the afternoon hours through the week ahead as well. We are finally seeing a change in the weather patterns across the west as the first of a couple of troughs push through the Northern part of California. Late in the week a deeper trough will drop south along the west coast of California which will increase the depth of the marine layer and maybe even bring some drizzle to the lower elevations.
