TODAY’S WEATHER DISCUSSION AND FORECAST:
Good Morning.
Trends. Not much change in our weather pattern for the next week or so. We will continue to have alternating areas of High pressure moving in from the East, toward the West, with Troughing moving through from the PAC-NW in between.
..Today, a 594dm area of High pressure is located over the South West. This will move West today lowering 500mb Heights to around 588mbs as well as temperatures through Sunday.
..A weak Trough of Low pressure will pass to our North Friday and Saturday, bringing in cooler temperatures to most of the region for the weekend.
..Monday High pressure will regain position across the whole Southern portion of the Continental U.S. Temperatures will slowly warm up again as the High strengthens through most of the work week next week. Temperatures will be much the same as what we had this week, for the middle of next week, before another Trough approaches the West again late next week.
..On the longer range outlook, the Trough for next weekend looks stronger and may bring an offshore flow as it passes to our North next weekend. Humidities across the local area are getting into the teens during peak heating prompting VERY HIGH fire danger levels during the afternoon hours locally. *RC
..As we head into the latter part of Summer and the Fall Season, the local Forest vegetation is drying out. Fuel moistures are below average now, and the Fire Danger levels are on the rise. Be sure to check Fire Regulations before camping to make sure of current Fire Regulations.
