TODAY’S WEATHER DISCUSSION AND FORECAST:

Good Morning.
..This morning we have clear skies across the mountain communities with haze in the Valley below. We will continue to be at the bottom of a medium wave Trough in SoCal that is centered well to our North. So generally our weather pattern will only vary slightly for the next few days.
..Friday and Saturday temperatures will warm up a few degrees as the the Trough weakens slightly, then strengthens again for Sunday and Monday bringing in slightly cooler temperatures.
..Tuesday the Trough will weaken again as an area of High pressure now centered over Texas expands from East to West. This will likely put an end to the ongoing Troughing we have had for the last month or so as well as the cool and mostly dry weather.
..As the High pressure expands West over SoCal, temperatures will warm slowly through the week. The circulation around the High will most likely draw in Subtropical moisture later in the week to the southern portions of California. The long range models show a chance for moisture next weekend in the form of weak T-Storms for the Lower Desert areas and possibly the Big Bear area.
..On the Hurricane topic, Barbara is moving out toward the Hawaiian Islands and weakening rapidly. However, there are two more Tropical disturbances forming at this time. The path of these next two systems is unsure at this time, but will likely head on a similar path. There will be a chance for some of the moisture to get caught up in the circulation around the High to our East next weekend which could add to the possibility of a T-Storm locally. We’ll see.
..All in all, we should have very nice weather through the Holiday weekend.
..That’s it for now! Be sure to check on the Lake Gregory Weather Group, facebook page, for any radar loops or storm updates as needed.
Thank you. RC @ www.lakegregoryweather.com

These are very helpful for the drive up and down the hill. If the camera view is gray, that means it’s foggy.
