TODAY’S WEATHER DISCUSSION AND FORECAST:

Good Morning.
..Trends. High pressure over the Great Basin and lower pressure over the Southwest will produce a offshore pressure gradient of ~9mbs from Tonopah to San Diego today. As a result, NE winds will be in today’s forecast for the higher elevations and through the passes locally.
..Currently most of our unobstructed, local wx/st’s are showing a NE flow. Currently, Playground drive Wx/st has 20-25mph winds from the NE.
..The area of High pressure over the Great Basin will move East today as our main weather feature will arrive tomorrow.
..A Sub-Tropical High currently over Mainland Mexico, will expand to the West bringing in much warmer temperatures to all of SoCal except the Coastal areas. 100* temperatures will be likely in the Inland Valleys with local temperatures reaching into the low to mid 80s over the next three to four days.
..Now is the time to put out shade and extra water for your outdoor pets as they will need it over the next few days.
..This area of High pressure will begin to weaken by late Wednesday with a cooling trend beginning Thursday through the weekend, next weekend.
..At this time, there doesn’t appear to be any chance for Thunderstorms from this pattern, however there is an area of low pressure just offshore to our Southwest off of Baja that could throw us a curve.
..Have a great weekend and enjoy the great mountain weather. *RC

..On the main page of the website, www.lakegregoryweather.com I have added two live webcam views, one of Lake Gregory pointing North, and the other facing Southeast toward Waterman canyon. These are very helpful for the drive up and down the hill. If the camera view is gray, that means it’s foggy.

..Be sure to check out the other pages on the website for the Latest on El Nino, live webcams from around the area, live Radar, Satellite loops, Traffic conditions, along with live Weather conditions, and a live view of Lake Gregory from my weather station at the South side of the lake. Have a good Day! *RC
