Forecast for Crestline, Twin Peaks, Lake Arrowhead and the San Bernardino Mountains:
Good Morning.
This morning we have mostly clear skies for the mountain areas with light and variable winds. The Marine layer is slowly moving inland toward the IE, but should be light for the morning hours with little to no affect on the Mountain HWYs.
We are moving toward a Summer pattern of weather which will bring much warmer temperatures early next week. In the meantime, a couple of weak troughs will pass through SoCal. The first will be today and another Saturday. This will keep temperatures fairly cool through Saturday.
For Sunday through the middle of next week, a Sub Tropical High will be our main weather feature. Temperatures and humidity levels will both be on the rise as the Sub Tropical High moves over the region. Aletta, far to our south off the tip of Baja, will become a Hurricane by tomorrow, and another Tropical Storm is right behind her.
As the Sub Tropical High moves over the area, we may see some of this moisture become entrained in the flow and bring a chance for the development of Cumulus clouds locally, and even a chance for T-Storms by later next week. So enjoy the nice weekend weather as its going to change soon.
Temperatures around the area for Today and overnight:
Crestline, Twin Peaks, and Lake Arrowhead: 70-75/52-55*
Running Springs, GVL, and Big Bear: 70-74*/40-45*
San Bernardino: 82-86*/59-65*
