TODAY’S WEATHER DISCUSSION AND FORECAST:

Good Morning.
..Clear skies with fog in the Valley is and will be the forecast for the next several days. It’s looking like the Summer pattern is setting up Coast to Coast. High Pressure off the West Coast is getting stronger and the same on the East Coast with the Bermuda High there. The Jet stream is slowly being forced North with lots of resistance, and will spin a couple more areas of Low pressure across the Northern part of California in the coming days. Here we will see only a deeper Marine layer as they pass through.
..Today, we will be a little warmer again as High pressure builds offshore and heights raise to around 585dm over SoCal. Wednesday Heights will peak and so will the temperatures locally.
..Thursday and Friday an area of Low pressure will pass to our North increasing the Marine layer depth locally. Onshore flow will strengthen as well helping to push the Marine layer to the Inland Valleys. This will bring in a short cooling trend for those days as well.
..For the weekend we will warm up a few degrees as High pressure returns. We will have mostly clear skies with only a few cumulus clouds through the period. Yesterday there were a few sprinkles late in the afternoon at peak heating around 5pm. There were no reports of Lightning in the Southwest.
..As High pressure takes over through the weeks ahead, temperatures will rise so it will be time to take extra precautions with your outdoor friends. Water and shade will be paramount for them soon. Thank you for joining me at lakegregoryweather.com
