TODAY’S WEATHER DISCUSSION AND FORECAST:

Good Morning.
..Not much change in the forecast for the next couple of days. Continued morning fog in the lowlands with mostly clear skies above. Temperatures will remain in the 70s for the most part through Friday.
..For the weekend, a Subtropical air mass will be nudging into the area from New Mexico at the same time a cooler air mass will be pushing south from the PAC-NW. This could bring a change in the weather for Saturday in the form of increased cloud cover and a chance for a Thunderstorm locally as well as out toward the Colorado River. Other than that, not much going on.
..As far as El Nino goes, we are still considered to be in a weak El Nino State for ENSO region 3.4(our area). The waters for our region are still running about 1*c, +or- above normal for this time of year. The above average SST’s (Sea Surface Temperatures) are expected to continue through the Summer months as is the El Nino State. For more information on the current El Nino cycle, check the El Nino page on the drop down menu. Enjoy.
..Have a good day and weekend. RC @ www.lakegregoryweather.com.

..As we head into Fire Season please use caution in all mountain areas. Also I will begin today posting the Fire Danger levels on the bottom of this page also check the wx alerts page for an in depth look at the local fire weather..(Website)

Yesterday’s High and Low temperatures were:
Crestline-75/48*, Twin Peaks-70/50*, Lk Arrowhead-73/54*, Running Springs-66/52*, Big Bear-64/35*, GVL-71/41*, San Berdo-86/61*, Wtrmn Cyn-77/49*.

..On the main page of the website, www.lakegregoryweather.com I have added two live webcam views, one of Lake Gregory pointing North, and the other facing Southeast toward Waterman canyon. These are very helpful for the drive up and down the hill. If the camera view is gray, that means it’s foggy.

..Be sure to check out the other pages on the website for the Latest on El Nino, live webcams from around the area, live Radar, Satellite loops, Traffic conditions, along with live Weather conditions, and a live view of Lake Gregory from my weather station at the South side of the lake. Have a good Day! *RC
