TODAY’S WEATHER DISCUSSION AND FORECAST:

Good Morning.
So far this morning we have clear skies in the mountains with the Marine layer up to the top of upper Waterman canyon. Not much change in our weather for today or the next five days as it looks from the maps this morning. We will be under a transitory Ridge today that will move East tonight with a Trough of low pressure returning to the area for the next few days. The main area of Low pressure will remain to our North with a couple waves passing through the flow for SoCal. This will keep the Marine layer in place through the period with gusty SW winds for the afternoon and evening hours.
..Sunday we may see a few cumulus clouds building over the ridges as a wave works through the area. Thunderstorms will be likely if you are heading to the Sierras from the Mammoth Lakes area and North on 395.
..Temperatures will remain seasonal for the next few days with late night and morning fog in the Valleys and along the Coastal zones.
..Mid week next week the Pacific High now centered West of NorCal will nudge inland over SoCal. This will bring a couple of warmer days mid week. Then another Trough will move through the West with cooler temperatures returning late in the week.
..That’s about it for now. Have a nice weekend and enjoy the nice mountain weather.
..As we head into Fire Season please use caution in all mountain areas. Also I will begin today posting the Fire Danger levels on the bottom of this page.(Website)
..Have a good day and enjoy the great Mountain weather.*RC

Yesterday’s High and Low temperatures were:
Crestline-81/51*, Twin Peaks-76/62*, Lk Arrowhead-82/59*, Running Springs-79/57*, Big Bear-75/44*, GVL-75/48*, San Berdo-86/59*, Wtrmn Cyn-75/49*.

..On the main page of the website, www.lakegregoryweather.com I have added two live webcam views, one of Lake Gregory pointing North, and the other facing Southeast toward Waterman canyon. These are very helpful for the drive up and down the hill. If the camera view is gray, that means it’s foggy.

..Be sure to check out the other pages on the website for the Latest on El Nino, live webcams from around the area, live Radar, Satellite loops, Traffic conditions, along with live Weather conditions, and a live view of Lake Gregory from my weather station at the South side of the lake. Have a good Day! *RC
