Forecast for Crestline, Twin Peaks, Lake Arrowhead and the San Bernardino Mountains:
Good Morning.
Today should be the last day of the heat wave as High pressure over the lower mid west will begin to weaken later today. High temperatures today will be very close to yesterday (80-85*). Tomorrow we should see close to 5* of cooling.
Moisture from the remnants of BUD ( CAT 1 now) will move North bringing upper level clouds to the area. Thursday pm into Friday there will be a chance for Thunderstorms over the Desert areas to the Colorado River, and East from there. Here we may see Towering Cumulus clouds along with weak chance for a T-Storm near the Big Bear, and Green Valley Lake areas. Lake Arrowhead, and Crestline will not have much chance as it looks this morning.
All of this will move East by Saturday afternoon and cooling will continue into the weekend. Fog and low clouds will move into the IE by Sunday morning as a trough of Low pressure slides south toward SoCal. For Sunday through mid week next week, we will be under the influence of a trough of Low pressure so we should remain seasonal temperature wise.
Don’t forget about your pets as they need shade, and plenty of water, to get through the day. That’s it for now. Have a good day! RC
