Forecast for Crestline, Twin Peaks, Lake Arrowhead and the San Bernardino Mountains:

05/06/2018.
Good Morning.

Today we woke up to High based clouds, and warm temperatures. A Weak Atmospheric Wave is slowly passing through the SoCal region this morning along with high clouds at the 20-30k’level. Later today and Monday, there will be a chance for Virga from these clouds during the afternoon hours as weak convection will likely take place. Along the Coastal areas, from Point Conception South, there is no fog this morning. Late Tuesday into Wednesday, a slight chance for a shower or Thunderstorm will be possible, as an area of vorticity passes through the area. Most if not all of the moisture will stay in the upper levels of the Atmosphere, but at the higher Mountain elevations there will be a chance for some of this moisture to reach the ground there. Temperatures will be slightly cooler today due to the cloud cover. Highs will range from 75-80* below the 6000′ level, above that, temps will be from 70-75*. The San Bernardino area will have highs today in the mid 90s. Tomorrow is expected to be around 5* cooler across the region with more High Clouds. High pressure will continue to sit offshore of the West Coast through the period. An area of Low pressure will move onshore to our North, then head Northeast from there. A dry South West flow will be the main wind feature for the next few days in the lower levels, locally. Wind speeds will be light, and somewhat variable from the SW at 2-7mph. Overall, temperatures will continue to be Spring like with no measureable rain in the near future. RC
Temperatures around the area for Today and overnight:
Crestline, Twin Peaks, and Lake Arrowhead: 75-80*/47-53*
Running Springs, GVL, and Big Bear: 70-75*/36-44*
San Bernardino: 89-95*/58-64*
