TODAY’S WEATHER DISCUSSION AND FORECAST:

Good Morning. Remembering Veterans today.
..After a good rain yesterday, possibly the last for the Season, we will turn a corner today in our weather pattern.
..Clearing skies with decreasing winds with a slight chance for a morning shower will be the days forecast. This morning FOG is shrouding parts of the Rim and the front side of the mountain making for a slow commute. Don’t forget to use your headlights so others can see you!
..This will all clear out by later this morning as the storm that brought rain here yesterday is now centered over the Las Vegas region. As this area of Low pressure moves East today, clearing skies will be the result locally, along with a slow warming trend that will last through the week ahead.
..However, we will have afternoon cumulus clouds develop as a couple of short waves work through the area Tuesday and Wednesday. During peak heating Tuesday and Wednesday, there will be a chance for localized Thunderstorms along the Ridges mostly toward the Big Bear area. So the skies won’t be completely clear but we will have plenty of sun to help warm things up. Temperatures will return to normal by Thursday for our area with highs expected to be in the upper 60s to low 70s continuing through the weekend.
..The Long Range outlook is for a warmer weather pattern and possibly High pressure to develop over the West which will lead to continued warming in all of SoCal and a more typical weather pattern for this time of year. RC*
..On the main page of the website, www.lakegregoryweather.com I have added two live webcam views, one of Lake Gregory pointing North, and the other facing Southeast toward Waterman canyon. These are very helpful for the drive up and down the hill. If the camera view is gray, that means it’s foggy.
..That’s it for today. Thank you for joining me @ lakegregoryweather.com
..Be sure to check out the other pages on the website for live webcams from around the area, live Radar, Satellite loops, Traffic conditions, along with live Weather conditions, and a live view of Lake Gregory from my weather station at the South side of the lake. Have a good Day! *RC
