Forecast for Crestline, Twin Peaks, Lake Arrowhead and the San Bernardino Mountains:

Good Morning.
Once again, Fog, Drizzle, and light rain will be the main weather feature today. This morning, Fog has moved into the local area with reduced visibility and wet roads in some areas, especially along the Rim. Plan extra time if you are traveling around the area.
Another weak atmospheric wave is pushing through SoCal at this time. Fog, low clouds and drizzle can be expected below the 5500′ level this morning down to the 2000′ elevation. Some clearing will begin later this morning especially away from the Rim area. This afternoon, gusty winds from the South West will be likely along the ridges and canyons as the trough moves through. Temperatures today will again be in the mid 50s to low 60s for most of the local area.
Tomorrow, a ridge of High pressure will begin to develop over the West coast of SoCal. Morning fog, and low clouds will move into the IE but should be lower in elevation and clear out by mid morning. As the area of low pressure moves East, we will pick up a period of North East winds during the middle part of the day. Then we will return to an onshore flow for Monday under a Ridge of High Pressure.
This will prompt a warming trend that will last through most of the work week ahead. Temperatures will climb into the upper 60s to low 70s Sunday. Temperatures will continue to climb Monday, and will be close to 80* by Tuesday, for the local area.
Thursday, another trough will pass through with a return of cooler weather along with the return of more foggy conditions for SoCal. In the Gulf region, the first named storm of the Tropical Summer Storm Series will arrive as Alberto, sometime Monday. Alberto will affect all areas from Alabama to Florida with heavy rain, Thunder Storms and Tropical Force winds. That’s it for today. Have a good weekend. More Tomorrow morning. RC
