Weather Report 5/22/18

Today’s lakegregoryweather.com
Forecast for Crestline, Twin Peaks, Lake Arrowhead and the San Bernardino Mountains.
Good Morning.

Yesterday, Fog and clouds shrouded the area with some light precipitation reported as well. Today, will be about the same as an area of Low pressure now centered over California and Nevada remains in place.

Currently as of 5am, we have Fog from Rim Forest to San Bernardino. If you are headed down the hill, use your headlights even during the day, and plan some extra drive time. The further North you are from the Rim, the more clearing you will see today. A few light showers or mainly drizzle will keep the roads wet especially along the Rim today.

No measureable moisture is expected.

The area of Low pressure currently over our area will slowly depart to the Northeast later today and this evening. This will give us a little warmer weather and clearing skies for tomorrow and Thursday. The Marine layer will still be up against the Coastal slopes locally at or about the 3500-4000′ level in the morning hours. We will be under a weak Ridge for a couple days before the next trough arrives Friday.

This trough is expected to stay a little further North, but we will still see morning fog and low clouds as the Marine layer deepens, along with temperatures in the mid 50s to low 60s for the weekend. RC

Temperatures around the area for Today and overnight:
Crestline, Twin Peaks, and Lake Arrowhead: 54-60*/42-48*
Running Springs, GVL, and Big Bear: 55-61*/32-39*
San Bernardino: 72-74*/52-57*
