Forecast for Crestline, Twin Peaks, Lake Arrowhead and the San Bernardino Mountains:
Good Morning.

On the Alerts and Trends Page, I have posted the latest El Nino/La Nina update, and forecast, as well as a couple videos of the Hawaiian Volcanic eruptions.
Fog has moved into the area along the Rim from the Sky Forest area, and below. Today we will not see much clearing, especially along the Rim, for the local area as Low pressure will move over SoCal bringing low, and upper level clouds with it. There will be a slight chance for a shower or even a weak T-Storm throughout the day as the Low sits over the area.
Here, we will not be in the opportunity spot for any significant storms, as the main area of ascent will be North of here over the Sierras. Temperatures will be cool today, along with gusty winds at times. The onshore pressure gradient this morning is at almost 8mbs from San Diego to Daggett. This will insure a good onshore flow today.
The HRRR simulated Radar shows most of the activity today over the Sierras, but as temperatures warm later today, we will see an increased chance for a shower or T-Storm, mainly near the Big Bear and GVL areas.
This area of Low pressure has very limited moisture associated with it. So showers will be hit and miss at best for the local areas.
Tomorrow, the Low will begin to lift out of SoCal. More sunshine will be the forecast for Tuesday and through the work week ahead. A Ridge of High pressure will move over SoCal bringing warmer temperatures and clearing skies through Friday. Good Day! RC
Temperatures around the area for Today and overnight:
Crestline, Twin Peaks, and Lake Arrowhead: 50-55*/40-45*
Running Springs, GVL, and Big Bear: 55-59*/34-39*
San Bernardino: 70-74*/55-58*
