TODAY’S WEATHER DISCUSSION AND FORECAST:

Good Morning.
..Today we have clear skies across the Mountain with light and variable winds. There is Fog at the bottom of Waterman Canyon this morning that will burn off by later this morning.
..A Ridge of High pressure will be our weather maker for today. However, this will be short lived as several weak areas of Low pressure will make their way towards SoCal over the next several days.
..Wednesday we will start the day with clear skies, but as the first in a series of systems arrives to our North, we will see increasing clouds late in the day. Fog will return for Thursday mornings for the commuter traffic on the local highways.
..Thursday, we can expect Rain on and off throughout the day. Rainfall estimates for the mountains will be from .35-.75″. The snow levels will begin at around the 8000′ level then lower as the back side of the system pushes through, lowering the snow levels to around the 6500-7000′ level. At the higher elevations, a few snow showers will be possible as the back side of the system moves out.
..Friday we will be clearing out from Thursdays system as a transitory Ridge of High pressure moves through. Clouds and fog will be likely at times through the weekend as another weak system moves through Saturday night into Sunday. Then another for late Monday. As it looks this morning, none of these systems are big rain makers however, Springtime storms can change dynamics in just a few hours.
..So overall, we will have a variety of weather over the next five days, or so.
..On the main page of the website, www.lakegregoryweather.com I have added two live webcam views, one of Lake Gregory pointing North, and the other facing Southeast toward Waterman canyon. These are very helpful for the drive up and down the hill. If the camera view is gray, that means it’s foggy.
..That’s it for today. Thank you for joining me @ lakegregoryweather.com
..Be sure to check out the other pages on the website for live webcams from around the area, live Radar, Satellite loops, Traffic conditions, along with live Weather conditions, and a live view of Lake Gregory from my weather station at the South side of the lake. Have a good Day! *RC
