Forecast for Crestline, Twin Peaks, Lake Arrowhead and the San Bernardino Mountains:
Good Morning.

The NWS has issued a WIND ADVISORY FOR OUR AREAS FROM 10AM TODAY THROUGH 5AM SATURDAY. GUSTY WINDS FROM 10-45MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE AT TIMES.

Temperatures have dropped substantially over the last 48 hours. Some of the local areas had from 10-20* of cooling!
For this morning, a fairly deep Marine layer has moved from the Coastal areas all the way to the front side of the mountain below the 4500′ level~. Fog and Clouds can be expected from the intersection of Lake Gregory and HWY 18, down to Lower Waterman Canyon this morning.

The surface pressure in the Great Basin is running at 1002.6mbs while at the Coast of SoCal the surface pressure is running at 1011.5mbs causing an onshore flow. This onshore flow will strengthen to around 12mbs (currently @ around 7mbs) throughout the day today helping to maintain the push of the Marine layer Inland through Sunday night.

Clouds and Fog can be expected through the weekend with a chance for drizzle and or a quick shower tonight thru Saturday morning as the Low over the Great Basin deepens providing some lift.

Here in SoCal, our Weather will continue to be influenced by this Low pressure area in the Great Basin. By the middle of next week, the Low will weaken, but another area of Low pressure will fill in behind it. So we will not see much change in our weather over the next ten days or so as it looks this morning. On the 500mb Northern Hemispherical map, (map on the website) it shows several areas of Low pressure in the flow that will continue the current weather trend, possibly through the end of the month.

So as it looks this morning, May Gray, will be the dominate weather feature for now.
Enjoy and have a good day. RC
