Weather Report – 4/17/19

Good Morning.
After a cloudy and drizzly day yesterday, clearing skies and much warmer temperatures are ahead.

Currently we have high humidity levels across the Rim but I don’t see any driving issues as far as the weather goes.

This morning as the System from yesterday moves East, North East winds as always will develop locally behind the departing Low. The next change will be High pressure building to our West that will expand Easterly over the SoCal region during the next couple of days. Temperatures will warm up by 8-12* today through Friday, from yesterday’s Highs locally, along with a developing onshore flow as the pressure builds offshore.

Then for late Friday, a Sub-Tropical area of Low pressure currently to our South West, will move Inland over SoCal and Northern Baja. This will increase the onshore flow along with increasing clouds, Coastal Fog, and cooler temperatures.

Saturday and Sunday, much cooler temperatures will move over the region as another area of Low pressure this time from the North will arrive locally. This system could bring a couple of showers to the area along with areas of instability that may produce stronger cells Saturday. As the onshore flow develops over the weekend, increasing clouds, Ridge Fog and much cooler temperatures are expected.

Then on the long range Crystal Ball outlook, Monday through the work week next week, a warming trend will return through most of the week as it looks this morning.

So all in all, we will continue to be in a transitional weather pattern through the next 5-10 days.

That’s it for today. Thank you for joining me @ lakegregoryweather.com
