Outlook for Crestline, Twin Peaks, Lake Arrowhead and the San Bernardino Mountains…
Good Morning….

…Clear skies today with a little bit warmer temperatures overall will be the forecast for today….
Tomorrow, a closed Low will move into the area bringing rain to most of SoCal through early Friday morning before moving out. Fog and clouds will begin to move into the area late this afternoon or this evening. Rain should begin by late tomorrow morning locally….
… Snow levels will raise up as the system arrives due to warmer moist air from the South mixing with the cold low from the North. Rain possibly heavy at times will last through Thursday night. Two bands of moisture will push through however they will most likely merge together over SoCal as they move onshore. So there will be little break if any in the rainfall….
….Snow levels are always a mystery as to where it will actually fall but a it looks like the FREEZING level will run around the 6600′ level, so we may see some snow at the 6200′ level or a little lower at times. The main snow elevation will be at or about the 6500′ level and above. So Big Bear and Green Valley Lake and the surrounding areas could see up to 6″ of snow from this next storm. The lower elevations will receive from 1.5″-3.00″ of rain with higher amounts along the Rim. Gusty winds from the SE will accompany this system through Friday morning. Friday afternoon through Sunday we will return to clear weather with good snow skiing for those who do. Another system is likely for the middle of next week again. More on that later….
…Enjoy the weather and remember to put those chains and blankets in your car. Snow is coming!
As the temperatures fall overnight in most areas to below freezing, black ice will be possible on the local roads so please be careful! Have a good day!
That’s it for now. Thank you for joining me @ lakegregoryweather.com RC
