WEATHER DISCUSSION AND FORECAST:
Good Morning.
…High pressure over the Great Basin and along the West Coast will be our main weather feature for the next 5 Days or so. The gusty NE winds will subside today with the exception of the local Canyons and Ridges. The NWS WIND ADVISORY will expire today at noon.
…Today temperatures will warm by around 10-15* locally over yesterday’s High temps. We will have clear skies with light winds, mostly from the NE through the day.
…Thursday will be a little cooler but will be a very nice day around the mountain with passing High clouds along with light and variable winds.
…Friday and Saturday we will have very nice weather with the warmest days of the week. Plenty of Sun, warmer temperatures, along with light and variable winds will make for a very nice weekend in the mountains.
…On the long range outlook, a pattern change looks likely for around the 5th of February. The deep area of Low pressure over the middle part of the US will move East allowing the Storm Track to return to the West Coast. The El Nino forecast is in favor of a coupling of the Atmosphere and the Oceans Sea Surface Temperatures (SST’s) over the next few months bringing Sub Tropical moisture to the area in the form of the Atmospheric River, similar to what we had last week, locally.
…Have a great day, and thanks for joining me @ www.lakegregoryweather.com.
…Be sure to check out the website for live webcams from around the area along with live weather conditions and a view of Lake Gregory from my weather station at the South side of the lake.
