Just after noon on Tuesday, the California Highway Patrol in San Bernardino County Fire units responded to reports of a two vehicle accident in Lake Arrowhead. The location given by 911 callers was the corner of North Bay Road and Peninsula Drive.
Units arriving on scene found two vehicles involved, a gray Toyota 4Runner and a silver Ford Flex. Both vehicles were out of the roadway but the Toyota 4Runner was facing the wrong direction on North Bay Road up on the curb.
Emergency personnel could be seen treating someone in an ambulance, other vehicle occupants were seen walking around near their vehicles. The California Highway Patrol had two units at the scene directing traffic and performing the accident investigation.
At this time, it is unclear if the person being treated at the scene was transported. Officials were not available to obtain a statement at the scene. Mountain Auto Service was on scene as well recovering the vehicles and clearing the intersection. The cause of this accident is still under investigation by the CHP.
