Traffic Stoped on Highway 330 Due to Motorhome Accident, Sigalert Issued

***update*** Highway 330 has been reopened and traffic is moving normally.

At 11:56 am, California Highway Patrol dispatchers received multiple reports of a traffic collision involving a motorhome. The location given was on Highway 330 near the middle passing lane. A fire was originally reported but units on scene confirmed that it was only steam from the radiator. Originally the dispatch was non-injury however ambulance has been summoned to the scene for injuries of unknown circumstance.

CHP Scanner traffic indicates that a large section, approximately 100 feet, of the guardrail has been damaged and is sticking out into the roadway. CalTrans is enroute to the scene to manage the guardrail.

A Sigalert was issued shortly after the accident took place. Traffic has been diverted up Live Oak to avoid the scene. There still remains a large number of vehicles stuck in the traffic backup on Highway 330. This event is currently taking place and we will update this story as more details unfold.
